TotsBots TeenyFit Review
Fit
Despite the fact that the TotsBots TeenyFit is designed for babies as small as five pounds, I have had the hardest time with leg leaks when Grace wore it as a newborn (skinny little legs)! I wish it had a set of rise snaps so I could get a better fit on the legs. That being said, I know I used it a lot with Hannah, even after she weighed more than 12 lbs, so babies with chubbier legs will have better luck.
Absorbency
No complaints here! The bamboo core of the TotsBots TeenyFit absorbs a lot of liquid (providing you can get the legs to fit!). I like the waterproof tummy area, which means tummy leaks won’t happen when you are doing tummy time, or if your child sleeps on their stomach.
The bamboo core is a tongue-style, which flips out during the wash, which means it won’t take as long to dry. It’s one of the quicker-drying natural material diapers I own. It is a little tricky to restuff the banboo tongue because the diaper is so teeny!
Trimness
Because the TotsBots TeenyFit cloth diaper is designed for very small babies, it is a fairly trim diaper. I can easily fit my babes in their newborn clothes with this diaper on.
Appearance
I am not a super big fan of the TotsBots prints, which mainly center around nursery rhyme characters, but there are a few really cute ones like the Birthday Party print featured in this post.
Price
The TotsBots TeenyFit retails at $23.95 CDN, which is quite a lot for a newborn diaper. To me, it’s not really worth the high price given that it’s difficult to fit on skinny newborn legs. However, it is made from quality materials, which justifies the high price. Their aplix (velcro) is awesome and shows no signs of wear and tear after two babies unlike some other diaper brands. They also have a good resale value.
The TotsBots TeenyFit is a great diaper for chunkier newborns. It is well-made with great materials that will easily last for two or more babies. If you’re planning on having a larger family and have some money to invest in cloth, this could be the right diaper for you!
