Back to school time is coming soon, and moms everywhere are getting organized.
In addition to school supplies, back to school outfits, new bookbags and lunchboxes (you can learn more about my back to school shopping sanity savers here), an important back to school tradition is that perfect first day of school picture. year and in the future!
I absolutely adore the first day picture tradition, and I got to take part last year for the first time, when my oldest daughter started preschool. We also took a last day of school picture. It was so much fun to see how much she had grown!
First day of school pictures are nothing new, but you can freshen up your picture by adding a cute sign commemorating their grade level, and perhaps some cute information.

Best Free First Day of School Signs
If you’re looking for a free sign, I’ve rounded up the cutest first day of school free printable signs for you as well!
There are signs from the first day of preschool and the first day of kindergarten, right up to the first day of twelth grade. You are bound to find the perfect back to school sign for your child!
To add a little exra, be sure to frame your sign so it is sturdy (you don’t want it to accidently rip on the morning of the first day of school!).
