This morning I got some very exciting news. My fellow blogger, Sophie Piper from Real Foodie Family, nominated me for the Blogger’s Recognition Award. This evening, I found out I was also nominated for the same award by Katie Bressler, from Tickled Scarlett, another great blog. Needless to say, I am thrilled to be chosen for this award.
Real Foodie Family is an amazing blog, focusing on clean eating for families. Sophie has dietary restrictions and understands how important eating nutritious REAL food is to maintain health. She also understands that moderation is key to maintain any lifestyle. She offers great recipes for families trying to eat healthily!
Tickled Scarlett is another wonderful blog which focuses on parenting, families and relationships. Her blog is full of real talk and parenting tips to make mom life easier for us all!
How My Blog Got Started
I started my summer vacation this year with a goal to spend quality time with my daughter. I began this blog to document our adventures and share some parenting tips and family activities with you along the way.
My Advice to New Bloggers
I think it’s really important to do some prep work and research before launching a blog. Read everything you can, choose a niche and start brainstorming some ideas for posts. You want to get the ball rolling before officially launching your blog.
Once you have launched, it is really important to find a supportive community in your niche. Facebook groups are great for this. They will help publicize your blog posts, as well as give you a place to ask questions, reflect and learn. I am so grateful for the great Facebook groups I have joined since beginning blogging!
Now For the Fun Part…
I get to nominate several other bloggers for the Blogger’s Recognition Award. After lots of research, I chose a group of fun and exciting mamas that love to share their amazing thoughts and ideas! I encourage you to check out each and every one of their blogs. It’s worth it!
Rules for Blogger’s Recognition Award:
- Thank the blogger who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
- Write a post to show your award.
- Give a brief story of how your blog started.
- Give pieces of advice to new bloggers.
- Select 5-15 other bloggers you want to give this award to.
